Near future. Earth has reached and passed peak oil.
Stein builds a power station from a mysterious blueprint. After it explodes his productivity dwindles as the world outside falls dark.
He hires Frank, an impetuous postdoc, to translate the blueprint. But she finds other distractions like playing with a tentacle-machine that came in the same box.
It transports them to Atlantis, 10,500 BCE. Atlantis is glorious and horrifying, and about to sink.
